Someone really needs to have a sit-down with the Iranian regime to explain to them that continuing to do stupid things earns them very bad results. Because they don’t seem to learn their lesson, making stupid move after stupid move.

On Sunday, their stupid move of the day was an attempt by one of their cargo ships to run the U.S. blockade in the Strait.

President Donald Trump announced what happened next on his Truth Social account.

He said an Iranian-flagged cargo ship named the “TOUSKA, nearly 900 feet long and weighing almost as much as an aircraft carrier, tried to get past the blockade, and “it did not go well for them.”

“The U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance intercepted the TOUSKA in the Gulf of Oman, and gave them fair warning to stop,” he said.

“The Iranian crew refused to listen, so our Navy ship stopped them right in their tracks by blowing a hole in the engine room. Right now, U.S. Marines have custody of the vessel,” Trump added.

“The TOUSKA is under U.S. Treasury sanctions because of its prior history of illegal activity. We have full custody of the ship, and are seeing what’s on board!” he said.

That sounds like some substantial damage, plus now they lost the ship as well.

Pro tip, Iranian regime? Trump is not Barack Obama or Joe Biden. When the U.S. Navy is given a charge by the president, it is going to perform its duty. The U.S. military is not bluffing, and you don’t want to test them – you will regret it. A cargo ship isn’t going to be able to take on a destroyer.

But Iran doesn’t seem to learn that lesson.

That wasn’t the only bad choice the Iranians made, as we reported. They also fired on two Indian ships earlier in the weekend, and now have India furious at them. India even called the Iranian ambassador on the carpet.

Then, too, while Iran was throwing its weight around in the Strait and warning everyone that they couldn’t come through except with the permission of the IRGC on their prescribed path, four cruise ships thumbed their noses at them, ran the Strait, and got through safely, which is pretty amazing.

Then, to cap off the stupid choices by the regime, they are rejecting taking part in the second round of negotiations with the United States in Islamabad, Pakistan.

“Iran stated that its absence from the second round of talks stems from what it called Washington’s excessive demands, unrealistic expectations, constant shifts in stance, repeated contradictions, and the ongoing naval blockade, which it considers a breach of the ceasefire,” the agency added.

Now that’s more about trying to look tough, when they will still be talking.

But at this point, the regime may learn that people are tired of their game-playing. The ceasefire is up on Wednesday, and they may find out they’re back to getting clobbered again. They’re the ones under the gun from the blockade, losing $435 million a day.
